Words. We have a lot to choose from. So, does our choice really matter?

Imagine for a moment you are a salesperson. You receive an email with the subject line: ‘Quarterly Sales Review’. How excited are you about attending the meeting? What if instead, it read ‘3 Simple Ways to Hit Target This Quarter'? Does that meeting sound more appealing?

Let’s try another one: Would you rather I ‘delegate a task’ to you or ‘give you additional responsibility?’

If you are still not convinced, watch this short clip. It’s one of the most thought-provoking (and emotional) examples I’ve ever seen that demonstrates the power of the written word. (You might want to grab the tissues!)
